... beer by two French people living in Mayotte. Of course I accepted and I joined their table for dinner so I didn't have to sit alone. I actually went to bed pretty early so I could get up early. The taxi brousse was supposed to pick me up around 6am. When I went to bed something was going on around my Malagasy hut. I heard footsteps all around and sometimes the beam of a flashlight made it's way into my hut through the several wooden planks. Dogs were ...

The place where she is staying is a village without electricity so she is pretty much cut off from the outside world. No generators either. To get electricity she has to go 20km to the next town. What fun tomorrow's 5 hour journey will be to Ankify (where the speedboat dropped us off after Nosy Be).... He and Steve will have to be dosed up, with more Imodium and Valoid at the ready in case the rest of us are struck down.

... from another tree. We had a gentle hike around this lovely forested mountain reserve, that's considerably cooler than Diego. We saw several waterfalls, the smallest chameleon species in Madagascar, butterflies, birds, as well as several lemurs way up high in the tree tops. It was slightly windy, which they apparently don't like, so they were well hidden in the branches. We eventually spotted a few crowned lemurs closer to the ground, ...
