... continued our beach hopping journey to Long Beach, home of the Queen Mary. We didn't really expect too much of this place but it was really nice. Everything was so modern and clean. We went to the marina where the Queen Mary now permanently sits as a posh hotel. The marina was so pretty and had so much to offer. ... other day over whatsapp to Gioia. Then we went to the Ralph's supermarket down the road from the hostel, to get groceries, breakfast and drinks. It took a bit longer than planned. Back in the hotel we had only like 5 minutes to drop the groceries in the room, pick something to take away for breakfast and as a snack and then we had to roll. From here we went up the Boulevard & after asking caught a Big Blue Bus again to Fairfax & changed to another bus up to Hollywood Blvd. This again is quite a lengthy trip. Along all these main streets there seems to be small shops, factories, businesses and often the residential is in the streets behind.

... place. Still crazy with spring breakers so we are glad we did not stay in Santa Monica. Back to Redondo and a short time to relax and then walked down to Redondo Pier. Doug, a friend of Dave's from Tension, met us at Old Tony's for drinks and dinner. Great company, food, and drink - souvenir glasses if you get the Firechief Maitai!!! Gotta love it.
