... an hour of Chicago...yes, I had to. And, since it was already in my CD player from yesterday, some of the Grateful Dead's American Beauty brought up the tail end of today's drive.

Sooo, here's to another long trans-continental flight. We leave Chicago on Monday, July 21st at 10:15pm and arrive in Kilimanjaro, Tanzania on Wednesday, July 23rd at 1:10am (thank you international date line). It's almost all in-the-air time, as we only have a one hour lay-over in Istanbul, Turkey. Can you say "run through the airport!" ... a few drinks as we watched an awesome view of some intense fog overtake the city. Next up we strolled to the Navy Pier and Millennium Park where we were amazed by the famous 'bean' structure. ... try and u must try the combo. Combo? Yes the combo is cheese popcorn mixed with caramel popcorn. Now when I first tried the cheese popcorn it was a very unusual taste, one which wasn't that good, but the more I had the better the taste got. The key to the cheese is try it by itself and then BOOM! mix it with the caramel popcorn!! ... purchased CTA cards and needed to buy separate return tickets for today's journey. Outward trains do not run frequently in the morning; our two alternative choices to the 10:39 were one at 8:39am (way too early!) or one at 11:39am (too late).
