Monday, July 6, 2015. PCT day 78 miles 1189.2-1198 Today is a nero day. I slept in until 06:30 and left camp by 0730. The trail was all downhill, 8.5 miles into Sierra City, which is at 4200 feet elevation. It definitely felt warmer/hotter down here. I arrived here by 11:30ish. The small town is only about a mile from the trail. I set up camp by the local church. I had my cold shower ...

... our neighbors, we rely on solar & diesel power which means we really do keep the lights off as much as possible. We have our own well to supply the retreat and water the 5 acres of gardens in the middle. We peak out through the forest to see the ridge line near Donner Pass in the high sierra's and then look west to see the lower foothills near the valley below. All this and regular flow ...

We Made It!   We have come full circle around the USA. Check out the Map. We are now returned back to our starting point at Ananda Village in the Sierra foothills, near Nevada City, CA.  Am happy to say that CharLi, aka "the beast" checked out fine during its maintenance checkout and "mani-pedi" time in Rocklin.  Good for another 5,000 miles although its drivers are happy to be on one place for a while. Here are the final ...
