No place to park at Soldiers Summit

We hate driving through Salt Lake City, so we bypassed it by going around SLC through Park City. This route isn't much longer and it is so much nicer than dealing with the bad drivers and road construction on I 15 through SLC. We thought we might spend the night at Soldiers Summit but when we got there, we discovered that there isn't a good place to park there now, so we continued on to Price where we stayed in the Walmart parking lot.

Along the way up to the Salt Lake area, we passed through Price, Utah. Since Price is a big coal-mining town, we could see "coal veins", lines of coal, in the rock. We also passed by a train loaded with coal. We stopped at an Arby's around Price for lunch, and then we headed up north.

And that's about it for our road trip. It was pretty fun, all-in-all.

the 75 miles from Provo to Price are very beautiful I would imagine on a nicer day with better road conditions. Hwy 6 is under construction most of the way. We got up early to try to aviod some of the traffic. That ment 5am breakfast and 6:15 on the road.
