We farewelled our comfy unit near Jackson and headed south. For the first part of the journey we followed the fast flowing Hoback and Green Rivers as they passed between tall snow capped mountains. For the next 100 kms, we drove across a tree-less plateau, passing very few other vehicles. At Evanston we hit the freeway heading for Salt Lake City and a change of pace. Somehow it seems easier to accept as an important myth from 3000 years ago, while Smith clearly was sayaing this was no myth - he claimed he really got the tablets from an angel. On the other hand, people of the Mormon faith seem to be wholesome people, intent on living ...

... the accelerator pump inside was shot and it was dribbling fuel. That carburetor had only lasted a few days. What junk! We arrived at Dave's at approximately 5 pm to find the whole family home. Laura treated us to our first home cooked meal that we'd had in days and even picked up a growler of local brew..yum! Dave and Laura's children Katie and Jack were in full show-off mode and were very cute and well behaved. Discussion was easy, as always, and we were able to meet a ...
