... ropes, sword play and throwing of shuriken throwing stars. It was quite a spectacle and we both thoroughly enjoyed it.
We then went to a show featuring the glamour and flamboyance of the geisha. There was an audible gasp from the audience as the very beautiful Oiran Dochu, the ultimate geisha, was revealed wearing a brocade obi belt tied in front, high platform geta shoes, and the most gorgeous elaborate hairstyle ...

... having a mixture of chicken skewers, meatballs on skewers, with rice and noodles. There was also a very deliciious sauce. Washed down with Japanese tea - declicious!

A big surprise was that it started to snow as we made out way to the bus stop - absolutely freezing.

Our hotel is not in the town but up on the side of one of the mountains. I noticed they have an electric blanket - I wouldn't be surprised if that is used tonight!

... of the hall. Upon taking off our shoes (which I did wrong and got a heated speaking to by a priest) and entering the hall, another priest made us to wait for the tour. Then spoke in all Japanese! He could clearly tell we wouldn't understand, why make us stand there! Oh well hahah The Hall is named because a bright ringing sound can be heard when two pieces of wood are clapped directly under its head due to the acoustics of the hall.
