Delos is an incredibly interesting place. The entire island is a collection of ruins where no one is allowed to stay on the island overnight so everyone who visits are day trippers—most of whom are staying in Mykonos. It was an excellent day for exploring ruins at just over 60F degrees it was cool and pleasant. There is a lot to explore on the island so be sure to leave enough time to see it all.
There are no complete building standing, but ...
... beautiful place with the village full of white-washed buildings scattered around a maze of little streets and alley ways. Just at it seemed that Santorini was made for couples, Mykonos was make for singles and the party life. This is one place that I want to return to again.
Kalimera! Upon seeing Mykonos for the first time, we thought we were in the opening scene of Mama Mia! Upon our departure, we felt like we were guests of a "Big Fat Greek Wedding"!
Princess had contracted out local Greek charters to transport passengers from the Ruby to the Island of Mykonos! The local Greeks were very hospitible and provided a short and smooth transit to the island's marina. We were so ...
... ewww) and that he needed to put drops in them for four days and then come back to see a specialist who would clean them out... We spent the rest of the day trying to work out where to go next.. turns out that Athens is quite hard to get out of, expensive plane fares and being surrounded by such counties as Albania and Macedonia train travel was not as simple as I had assumed. After much deliberation we jumped on a packed ferry Wednesday morning and headed back to the big smoke ...
Naxos, Cyclades, Greece myates... was happy hour for us. There is one problem with drinking cocktails in Greece and it's something me and Heather encountered one night to our detriment. The two of us woke in the middle of the night with ferocious headaches with Heather suffering one step further than me and having violent vomiting thrown in for good measure. In the bar at our campsite all the cocktails and drinks we mixed were with quality alcohols, all the top brands. Unfortunately not all bars operate with the ...

Bosh: Just like the ol' Dooling
Canada Day in Ios
-Scotty in his realm with all the techno, Bryan Adams, and Bon Jovi
-Summer of '69 declared International National anthem of Canada
-"Cana-duh, **** yeah!" painted on Bosh's back (this paint would ruin the next two days of his life and his one white shirt due to his refusal to shower before leaving Far Out
-Bosh and Smitty slay all the drinks
... a few beaches on the south side of the island but we did not swim as there was a strong, cool wind. Windsurfing here is quite popular. The south side of the island was very quiet - a bit like a sleepy village area which does not really come to life until lunchtime. But the quiet beaches looked incredible. Another great place we went to is a place called Agia Anna and all the way down along the beach front on a sandy track to ...
Naxos, Greece amanda_odwin... t really help that the average age of everyone was about 19. So we left early and came to Naxos. Naxos is absolutely beautiful - it is the picturesque greek island - with vegetation unlike Volcanic Santorini. We are staying in a beautiful studio apartment with a view of the beach!!! We ventured down the road to the port (the town is definately walkable in about an hour!) to have some good greek fish. But unlike home the delicacy of fish is small fish like sardines that ...
Naxos, Greece chezstar... back to the beach to cool down. We visited another beach, Agia Ana, even more beautiful and less crowded than Precopios. At this point we made the decision to extend our stay in Naxos. We spent the next two days just relaxing, lounging, eating more olives, and exploring the city. We also decided to have a "nicer" dinner one night along the waterfront where Mel had octopus and we were served Ouzo on the house.
Naxos, Greece pattymeltHow on Earth did I get to be so lucky?
My family and I went on a cruise of the Greek Islands. We ate a lot, got sea sick once, soaked up the sun, and absorbed the classically beautiful white and blue colours on the islands. There weren't very much ship activities that my sister and I were interested in but Allyson and I did win a bingo game! Mykonos was by far our favorite island because of its beauty.
