Whilst I was donning a long sleeved shirt, a sweatshirt, hat to warm my head and socks to warm my hands, with a thin pair of socks and shoes with big holes in them. So needless to say it was pretty cold when we stepped outside, however even more cold inside the rock face. After taking some incredible photos of both ...

... we saw at the mall. It turned out to be a good thing we waited it was about 40 francs cheaper. Phil did a dance all the way back to the apartment. This meant we were having Phil's home made burgers tonight. Their were very good and we haven't been able to find any place that makes them near as good. It will be great to have the grill. We're been missing grilled food plus it helps on a hot day not to use the oven.

... it was the right receipt so that wasn't the problem. She called someone and they talked a while. I got a quick look at the receipt and I couldn't find the rod on the receipt. Eventually they found someone who spoke English and she basically said not on the receipt. It didn't even look like it was scanned. They all laughed and basically thanked me for returning it. No one knew what happened but they got it back so no harm no foul. I walked away thinking not sure what happened but ...

It was so windy! And the waves looked very fierce! I didn't spend too long there because I wanted to stay dry, but what amazed me in the difference between the water in the boat harbour and the water outside the boat harbour - nothing alike at all!

I eventually made my way back to the boat, where I lined up ...

I don't think I've met a more hospitable, friendly family
through Couchsurfing. For one, Edmundo...the dad, drove from
where they live in France to Genève to pick me up because my
train and the bus timetable were off.

If that isn't the most outgoing friendly start I don't know
          what is.
