I didn't sleep very well last night, think it's because mum leaves me today!! It was at 6am we realised the reason for the quiet evening. It seemed the occupants of the entire town were up and at em, buying pork skewers, eating dried squid (a smelly local delicacy) and drinking sweet milky coffee. ... I know the mahouts (Thai elephant staff) at the camp were quite shocked - I think they are quite superstitious. So to be honest have to say I wasn't leaving on the best day/note.
