      Stranded on an island

A travel blog entry by on Nov 05, 2014

... Actually justin has a wicked photo of it all beginning from our kayak. It did not look good at all! But we figured we would keep paddling and hopefully the clouds will pass given how much it rained in the last 2 days. The time we got around the top side of the island it had started to sprinkle. And within a couple of seconds clouds opened and it rained the hardest rain I've ever seen in my life! So much so that you can see 500 feet in front of the kayak. ...

Day 4 - Travel to Ko Samui

On approach to Ko Samui, you could see the island in all it's glory with beautiful beaches and palm trees stretching as far as you could see. ... as the hills are not only steep, but single track with more holes than Swiss cheese. On our way up we were stopped in our tracks by a wee piggy, dog and her puppies. Hamish tried to smuggle a pup into the backs of the jeep it was so cute. We stopped for coffee at a lovely restaurant near the top of the hill, (we didn't make it to the top as the roads seemed to go on forever). It had amazing views over the coconut plantations, the green branches of the trees ...

We slept in, gymmed and after breakfast we made a lazy start to the day, this being our last full day on the island. We headed out to the Chaweng Noi area, which I have come to like as well, and went to the lookout point for a couple of photos. We also went to check out apartments in this area that were on our shortlist for this trip. I had concerns that it may be too noisy due to the close proximity to the ring road, and ...
