... saved for an afternoon snack (aka lunch). We headed out for our usual AM walk, and stuck to the streets rather than the beach. 20 minutes later we came to a really cool mall. Open air, but covered so it wasn't hot, tons of shops and just a really nice atmosphere -a nice change from the street shops of cheap t-shirts and souvenirs. Again, we aren't doing any shopping, but it gave us a nice place to walk and observe. I love going to the grocery stores in the countries we ...

... right on the beach surrounded by hammocks and chill out areas. It would be the perfect place for all the scholars to meet and hang out. After some dinner we headed to Charlotte and Elliot (two scholars)'s hostel for a pool party that was happening there that night. We took it easy today and didn't really do much of anything during the day, except for going to the gym for a good workout. In the evening, we headed back to the Jewish area of Koh Samui to attend the Seder. When we went the Chabad House office yesterday, we saw a ton of tables set up for the Seder and we were told there would be 500 people there tonight. This is not even the Seder we were attending. We went to a nearby hotel for another Seder along ...

... to face at a detox center in Koh Samui!!! Now that is a small world!

We sat in awe for a bit, but still could not fully piece together how Sharon had met my mom. I called my mom (waking her up, sorry mom!) because this was too unbelievable to let wait for tomorrow. At first my mom could not recall the connection then remembered meeting Sharon at her church while Sharon was visiting family in Sonoma (where she is originally from). My mom cared for some of ...
