... in to Ajaccio in Corsica. A little hidden gem we found many years ago, nip to deck 15, walk to the front of the ship, ignore the Access to Cabins only sign and hey presto you are on top of the bridge and pretty much on your own barring a couple of others who worked it out. It was such a lovely approach this morning we spent 2 and a half hours up there watching us dock. It was like a millpond and a very picturesque approach. The sun was well up ...
We had a lovely day of driving this beautiful island. I do think it is by far one of the prettiest islands we have seen. It's very mountainous and everything after that is seascape and beautiful beaches. We'll climb to over 3,000 feet elevation, and in 10 minutes we are at a beautiful beach.
Our hotel was O.K. for the night. It wasn't what we had expected, but I don't think there was much choice for this area, and they ...

Peter had lamb and Anne had rockfish en papillote which apparently means wrapped in aluminum foil. It was tasty nonetheless. We will certainly miss some of theses delicious dinners once we're back to our old routines at ...
... a wide area of salt pans. After purchasing a couple of postcards, it was time to visit the town. It is at the top of a hill - only a 10 minute walk - so up we went. By the time we got to the top it was beer o'clock so we tried a local Corsican brew - Pietra - not impressed, give us Sardinian 'Itchy' beer or a Greek Fix any day. We found a boulangerie for lunch and after quiche for Kerrie and a baggette for Greg we were ready to explore. The town ...
