    The western side of Florida is essentially one big swamp. Parts of it have been reclaimed to make fancy gated communities, but the treasures are in the state parks. In these we saw alligators, manatee, fish, lots of birds, deer and a bunch of other wildlife.

    We got lucky with the weather... It was supposed to rain a lot but so far, it has been pretty nice. We stayed in St. Petersburg for a night and are enjoying some beach/pool time in Naples.

    It's pretty hot and humid here and we decided to rent a cabin for a few nights... sleeping in the tent is not really a treat :)

    ... our day with a 2 hour bike ride. On our way home we stopped into Tin City - a grouping of shops along the water. While there we booked a sunset cruise for this evening:) Then we had lunch and drove to some bike shops to check out some bike options for us. Our cruise started at 4:30 (1 1/2 hours). Many large and beautiful homes ranging in price from 40 million to 98 million !!! Many of these are just used for a few weeks - they're not even permanent ...

    ... We had a BBQ for tea then relaxed outside with a few drinks. Another hot day. 7th October Today after breakfast we headed to Miromar Designer Outlet Mall for to do some shopping. I bought trainers, and a top for Scott, after that we went to the post office topmost of Robins gloves back to New York.
