... I see why Jess (owner of Eternal Landscapes, the travel agency I'm working through) thought this necessary. I think Garmaa and I will do just fine together - after all, I'm the same age as her Grandma. Garmaa got really excited about me having my 65th birthday here, and she's already planning a cake! Our next hit was a success. Freemark Abbey offered a 2 for 1 tasting. It wasn't my favorite wine-- nothing too special, in my opinion-- but it was still a ...

... also had a look thru the California Mission Model Museum. The museum showcases one of a kind, handcrafted models of all 21 California Missions made for the 1939 World Fair held in San Francisco. Our next stop was at Sebastiani Winery before heading for lunch in Sonoma’s historic Town Square and had a look thru the speciality shops and galleries, very similar to Morpeth.

          After ...

... and the winery is close by. So, we did a tasting there. We found that we really enjoyed their wines. Dick also enjoyed the motorcycles that were displayed there, so photos accompany this blog. (BTW-Talbott is known originally for the Talbott ties! The company is based here in the peninsula!)

And, then, of course, the event to cap the weekend was the Monterey Jazz Festival. The Monterey Jazz Festival is the longest ...
