... to Napa for a few hours passing vineyard after vineyard in the charming landscape. Most may say that wine tasting is something you should do exclusively with your girlfriend or spouse, but not Alex and I. We visited a winery around mid day and received an educational complimentary privite tour by a very proud employee of the Hess vineyard who informed us on the very specialised and traditional techniques used by the winery. Learning the process was ...

Now we're on our last 4 days here before we head to the vineyard down the road, so we're hoping to visit Jim's winery tomorrow and Ron has promised Daniel he can try shooting a pistol!

... rain, the first time we had any while we have been here; the rain seemed to stop by the time we were really into the wine tasting. We stopped at three Napa wineries for tastings: Hagafen, Duckhorn, and Joseph Phelps starting at 10:15am ending at about 4:30pm. Tasted, actually sipped 19 different wines. Oh, correction, I had sips from 19 wines. I think Staci was able to finagle her way into tasting two more wines than the rest of us. ...
