First days in Oviedo have been a little weird. The city is supposedly small but I'm still pretty much completely lost wherever I go excluding a few places. Although if you go up to a park above my apartment you can see the snow covered cordilleras (mountains) and it's pretty beautiful. I can't wait until the weather is warmer and less rainy so I can go on hikes. Other than that, I'm just trying to get used to living in ...

... preparing the head sail under power. It started quite nice at midday with the full main beam reaching out of the bay then just before I had the angle to pass the cape, heavy swells with strong gust made me hold action. I was pretty drunk at this point and the whole thing is a blur, but I ...

... supermarket and made some more sandwiches that we had been eating for lunch. Even had some iced coffees and mini muffins and all sorts in there for our four and a half hour bus to Bilbao. All ready to go until someone forgot the bag as we walked out the door! We tried to buzz to get someone to let us in to grab it but no one was home so had to buy a couple of little sandwiches at the bus stop. Naturally I got the big tortilla one for my breakfast; can’t get enough of it! ...

A broken bed and a horrible goodbye

... couldn't really see why there would be a line. at 8 they opened it and we all walked down and looked at the mosaic tiles surround the courtyard. There was benches so we sat for awhile and looked at the view and then continued downward. There was mosaic art everywhere and it was all beautiful. There was a giant lizard that everyone was taking pictures of and other random mosaic statues. We took pictures and walked around and then sat down to drink our wine and eat. We talked ...
