... at the memorial which is all very moving when you see all the names of the victims on the walls of the water features where the towers once stood. We then walked to the water & took a boat ride out to the Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island with all countries of the world represented on the boat! Tourism must be a huge business in this city. ...

... came from Africa 15 years ago. Managed to agree on $6 we both thought fair. Then I discovered a wonderful supermarket right around the corner from the hotel. Went back for a lie down and a coffee. Then went back out and got delicious ham and salad for dinner, and fruit for the train. ... other iconic places en route, including New York's grand Public Library and of course, Grand Central Station. It was incredible and quite breathtaking actually, which I wasn't expecting - it is crazy to think that such a regal imposing building was created for the purpose of being a railway station. ... A really AWESOME t-shirt We were walking through the city when Dad spotted two chocolate stores down the street, so of course we headed over for a look. At the first shop ' Hershey's chocolate world' they had heaps of mouthwatering chocolate. We bought these lollies called 'Twizzlers' they are gross, :/. We walked across the road to 'M & M world' it was my favourite. I got this pack of M&M's in rainbow order it is AWESOME!! ...

... biggest tree in the world. We learnt loads and loads of this. After this terribly interesting experience, we went to see my friend Maddy. We went to a ballet shop called Copella. I bought some stuff there with my birthday money (thanks Nan!). We departed, and met Ben and Dad at the St Patricks Cathedral. We caught the subway home, and that was the end of my day.
