I'm in Casablanca now, it's 31°, Nantes was 12 °. It's brown like Australia, France was lush and green,I don't suppose they have great tasting strawberries here. How odd, this morning I was wandering around the market in La Boule, now Casablanca. Two hours flight and the world has completely changed, it's not like this in Australia! ... Ancenis where we have a lovely room in a very old home. Loved the welcoming espresso and madeleines! Although our cycle was mostly flat we challenged ourselves with a steep climb up to a village with a great outlook over the valley! A perfect picnic spot! Oh yes -- Werner did indeed score his new poster here from a little bar, once again after many smiles and gestures:)
Next stop - Anger!
... for a quiet road we enjoyed rolling past the white-washed houses with red tiled rooves and azur blue shutters. As traffic increased we were very impressed with the courtesy shown to us by camper vans, cars and buses in waiting to safely pass us as we clung to the narrow shoulder!
We now have are first day behind us - 53 kl - and we have to admit that we're feeling a little pooped!!!
... and had a good time but to be honest I thought that
they missed a trick not joining in on the ball thing.
Julien came back to see me
and play again once he came home from school
and I have it on good account that he will come and visit us at home
in July when he is back in Britain.
