Life's a Beach
... basically soup and
veges, melon and water melon.
Last full day here and tried to do yesterday's planned trip to beach.
But no buses would stop - all full - and taxis just ignored us - and
other locals! So walked exploring. Interesting beachy markets, a big
shopping area, more friendly Chinese wanting pics. Looked for some
clothes - there were a lot of classy outlets, not just beachware.

Hainandao
... factory (clothing, cleaning products, underwear including dodgy red dragon emblazoned men's Y front complete with beads, ask no more..!), the knife factory, the date factory (as in fruit), the tea place and... memory fails me... Dinner included the famous Hainan chicken. Tasty! Finally we were dropped off at the Narada Spa hotel which miraculously was gorgeous. Huge airy room, hardwood furniture everywhere and an outdoor bath in a private terrace. ...
A week of sun, sand, swimming, scuba and alcohol
... to eat and even went to a lovely Italian, which was very expensive for Chinese standards but the food was amazing and tasted so good, but what we didn't realize was that the portion sizes were to share and we ordered a dish each!!
