    ... the garage was piled high with the spuds.

    We visited a local kindergarten opposite then and saw the
    cute children all doing activities to music copying the 2 teachers at the front
    of the room. The kindergarten was clean but had few toys in sight.

    That evening we had a Captain’s farewell dinner on the boat.
    He looked about 30 and was softly spoken and described our journey in Chinese
    so we had an interpreter.
