... crowds and smells were a little overwhelming on this busy weekend day, so we headed back to Shanghai, and put the spreadsheet away. We enjoyed a final dinner out along the Bund at Lost Heaven, a restaurant we have been meaning to try, and we were all very pleased! What a great vacation for us all! Now we have thousands of photos to view, hundreds of stories to tell, and wonderful memories of this fantastic visit!! I believe Carol's excellent travel planning skills will not be idle for too ...

... story she said oh, very resourceful you asked someone if you could stalk them. Hehehe its all very hilarious when I think about it now..... Hounglong turned out to be amazing. There were breath-taking views of the fall leaves surrounding colorful ponds. We walked a lot but it was beautiful and even though the day started out gloomy and gray it turned sunny and the sky was a bright blue. Things started really looking up! I wasn't even that tired anymore. However, the night wasn't ...

... trying to dig a well for their crops in 1974. Luckily they chose the spot they did, because had they moved over one foot, they would have missed them since they were digging at the farthest corner of their location. I had not realized that the statues they found were completely broken and had to be reassembled. I'm sure we will learn much more tomorrow. Dale says he's planning to buy a full sized replica and have it shipped home. We'll see what he thinks when he actually sees one! ...
