So you may have gathered by now that I'm not such a huge fan of Hangzhou as to me it's a grey, miserable, traffic laden, rainy city, with a grey haze covering the alleged beauty of it. I associate it with these things, and going there for mandarin lessons where I'm by myself in class, and where I have to walk through this really downtrodden industrial area which just looks depressing, and it's ...

... of the place, though failed to understand his jokes... It was a very pretty town with rivers and bridges making lovely photo backdrops. There were quite a few museums #ilovehistory including the best thing EVER - the world's largest button proudly displayed at the button museum (sorry did I actually get up at 6 am to go to a button museum missing my 3rd round of Howie's breakfast??). Not gonna lie- it wasn't even that big, but it was still funny nonetheless ...

    The itch and the pill

Only having a few days left in Cixi before we head off to Shanghai for a month, we have decided to give up our flat and relocate to the big city for a few weeks. This, unbeknownst to us, has opened another can of worms... For the past few nights I have been burning the proverbial candle at both ends. Late night stay ups, friends "sleeping" over and nothing on the menu that requires and chewing. Cocktail and beer wash down greasy KFC. 3-4 hours ...
