This results in complete chaos (more so than usual) on the roads and taxi drivers charging ridiculous prices (40 RMB (40P) for a journey that costs 15RMB (15P) normally, daylight robbery!) and a massive increase in people on the sidewalks, buses, subway and tourist attractions.
