Well after two days of training every part of my body hurts but I feel great! I'm starting to love our chips, eggs and some green thing breakfast... And I really think that I am learning a lot, I have chosen to study White Crane. For does of you who have never heard of this... Think Karate Kid... He uses a Crane kick to win the last match, this I learned on the first day ...
Nanchang, Jiangxi, China iavorGoing to China was always about one thing, visiting Adam, one of my best friends. I decided that China was too big to include as part of my Asia tour, so I will go there properly another year in its own right. It was a relatively unproductive week considering what I had been doing over the last month, but we had a good time. I've found that in Asia, getting a decent breakfast ...
Nanchang, Jiangxi, China eddiemetal... me going is I cant seem to find General Tsaos Chicken or Sesame and Sweet and Sour for that matter, also no eggrolls. I have always been adventureous with food but have not yet been able to bring myself to eat the octopus on a stick which seems to be very popular here. Check out the Pictures, and we hope to hear from everyone, more pictures of Harper tommorrow
Nanchang, Jiangxi, China 6ofhearts... need to see it in person, the airport is huge, we were met there by our Beijing guide "Mr Rocky Yu" He was fantastic, just for the mere fact that I was finally in a place where I really needed to have some help and there was just noone we could effectively communicate with I tried but couldn't talk my way to finding out where we needed to go next. Rocky got us on our Plane to Nanchang which was another 2 hour flight and we were ...
Nanchang, Jiangxi, China 6ofhearts... we had to pull over again shortly and exit the bus with our bags because the bus was smoking again. It was about 11:30 pm at this point. It was dark and the bus was out of commission. Li called the police because we were in the middle of no where. The police called 6 taxis to pick us up and take us to a hotel. Apparently the 2 nice hotels were booked, so we ended up with the expensive one. I can't say I was too disappointed. It had real toilets and an elevator!
Nanchang, Jiangxi, China red_head... under the surface of the gums and she has periods of discomfort. We found a vegetable teething biscuit, and she seems to enjoy gumming that into mush -- yup, we're those parents who let their kid have all this mushy biscuit around their mouth -- we used to be those who asked "how can they let the baby look like that????" We're now them! More photos, enjoy.
Nanchang, China snakaguma... sign paperwork, be interviewed by the adoption officials, and received our official adoption papers! Quincy is officially ours! After three years of waiting and the anticipation of the last two months, she's actually, officially a Nakaguma -- at least in the eyes of the Chinese government. Now we wait for her passport and the paperwork to be done in Guangzhou next week! More photos to follow. We're heading to the hotel pool for our first encounter with swimming!!!!
Nanchang, China snakaguma... us. Spence put her in her carrier and we just left the hotel. People looked, some stared, and many smiled. Kimberly had her Chinese note that explained that we were from America and adopting the baby. When the saw that, they beamed and gave us two thumbs up! Though the streets were not the best, we felt safe and enjoyed a long walk until Quincy started falling asleep. We made it back to the hotel, and as we ...
Nanchang, Jiangxi, China snakaguma... she is constantly distracted. Hopefully she'll settle down when there is only The Shag to worry about. We had more paperwork to do in the afternoon but it looks like most of that is settled now until we get to Beijing on Saturday. This was nice because we got some play time with our daughter. She's laughing more now and is less serious. She's a big grump, just like Daddy, when she wakes up from her nap. I played fun games with her and at the end of the day, after bath and diaper ...
