... for endangered species of Borneo…a way out of the city through many construction projects of apartments and new roading , up into the hills, arrival at the Park revealed it was actually a ZOO..of the worst kind in 35o…in a Jungle Valley, so some shade ,and a distance to walk, not good for many, we hate Zoo’s ,but crept on ,as awful as you imagine, little creatures panting in the corners ,in the heat, even the birds ...

... price of drinks- 5 for a beer which by English standards is a lot but by Asian standards is ridiculous! We figured it was because we were right on the waterfront. ... in mind we joined the four of them on a trip to the island of Sipa for the day and enjoyed hours of snorkelling and lounging on a beach for the first time in forever ( a few weeks). We were treated to a mini safari before we left the island as the native monitor lizard, fat bearded pigs and naughty monkeys appeared as if like clockwork to rummage through the bins as the tourists left.
