    ... up close they were peeling a bit! Every so often there would be an information sign along the way or a small exhibition in the gate tower. We decided to walk 3km along passing 2 gates however the wall at some point ran out and we are not sure if we were at our suggested destination. We discovered that we may in fact have overshot as we then had to walk back along the base of the wall for some way until we could turn downhill to reach the metro station.     ... I have found the roads to have similar rules to South East Asia; a lot of use of the horn and no strict lane use. This also means though that crossing the road is straight forward; when it's a green man just go and even if they still come they will move around you, and if there are no lights also just go!     ... murals). We were mesmerized by a circular room with a moving picture of a Chinese town displayed on the entire wall (see photos). Every element of the picture had movement (eg people cooking in tiny kitchens, selling wares on streets, arguing with neighbors etc). As we watched, the day turned into night, and seasons changed. I have never seen anything like it! Caroline and I could have stood and watched for hours.
