Spent 2 days in Yangshuo, 1 night in Xingping, and 2 night in Guilin, before taking the train to Nanning; and then the sleeper train from Nanning to Hanoi. Great Hostel - Yangshuo 11 - with fantastic views forms it's roof. Swam in the Li River and visited the markets. Took the bus to Xingping - a smaller, less touristy village upstream on the Li River. Explored the farming village across the river by ferry. Guilin was big and bustling, but not half as bad as ...

... Nanning. Heading to the bus station caused a bit of a conference we asked our tour guide if he knew where it was he didn't so a large group formed with no one knowing. We actually high-fived as we crossed through the China-Vietnam border as we were so excited to leave.

... then I realised we needed to weigh the fruit so Alex queued and I popped back, but when Alex looked over I was surrounded with little children wanting to have their photo taken with me....it was so funny! The we headed outside and a group of teenager girls wanted photos with us, they were so happy and bubbly, it was hilarious especially as I look like a giant compared to them.

... up. It's surreal as while we stood there it was pretty much silent even though there is so much traffic and as many if not more scooters as in Hanoi. The taxi dropped us at
the hotel, the room is pleasant and I fell a sleep straight away shattered from the journey. Later in the evening we wandered one street down and found a noodle place, they were delicious but made me laugh as it was served in a metal bowl on a plastic tray, made me think of prison food.
