    ... around the old town and has a small existence with tourism. Geraldine thought the ruins too new to be of interest. We went in the morning again to avoid the hottest part of the day. (Weather 35-40 deg C clear skies and very humid).

    Ekincik was a delightful little anchorage off a small pebble beach with a natural spring just inland. We stopped here heading westwards & thought we'd visit again on the return leg.

    ... and the toilets were freshly serviced. So our big night in Dalyan – dinner and night’s parking cost us <50TL (15-20Euro). We anticipated that the buses and tourists would be back, we made sure we were out early.     ... road it was over 30Km and there were some serious switchbacks and slopes to contend with as we came over the spine of the peninsular. Dave was triple challenged. He had to read the GPS, get Brutus along the route whilst watching in his mirror as his wife manoeuvred the Ford. Oh, add to that he was in full protective kit at 34C air temperature and not moving fast enough for the wind chill to help.

    ... while still in our euphoric state after Lewis' fantastic victory in front of his beloved home crowd, we head back down to the cauldron for one last time...!!!
