The morning looked so good then the other days, but it changed after Lunch. We get a Storm warning. Thanks, all the locals had a lot to do with rescue all the "buildings". They put wood plates in the front of the windows and make it with this not so windy inside.

... came and there was a village trip so we could experience a village church service...I am saved...Actually the decision was made because it was a free activity. We arrived at the Catholic Church and were made to sit at the front of the pews even though the father was not in this Sunday (see video). ... Not ideal conditions when you feel like **** and it took over one and a half hours too. Anyway I Reached Laktoka on the mainland in one piece and was taken to the doctor in a taxi. The doc prescribed me some oral steroids and cream. I then waited in a local hotel until my heavy laden boat of food and fuel was ready to take me back to the island. By this point the fever had gone and I was a lot better but still very itchy. Arrived back to the concerned island ...

... the people we came across the day before knew our name as well. As it turns out, the staff has to memorize our names and are given pictures of us to facilitate that. It makes you feel like you're a local or something. It's a cool feeling. Immediately after breakfast, we went on a tour to the local school where the children sang for us and then took a tour of the rest of the island. The island was very self-sufficient in that it had it's own gardens where it grew all of its produce for the ...

... as he has this tendency to turn up if more than five or six of us get together. When we got the high sign we marched him to the sundeck where the entire tour group was ready. He was taped to his chair (we didn't want him running out) and we had a great time. It was the best ending to this trip we could have had. We all stayed up there much too late, as we were disembarking at 9 AM the next day (and finally, the last iteration of the Fijian farewell ...

... the beach by the rest of the staff playing the guitar and singing us a welcome song, which was really cool and they were all so welcoming to the resort. It is just as I imagined: women in floral dresses, men in sarongs and all with flowers behind their ears and smiles on their faces! There is only one dorm on the resort and it's what can only be described as 'summer camp style' - very basic and very intimate. I spent the rest of the morning relaxing ...

... quasiment pas, elle préfère rester seule et se nourrir de mangues qu'elle cueille chaque matin dans la fôret toute proche. Nous avons donc tout le loisir de nous reposer sur cette îles avec cette impression d'être seuls au bout du monde sur une île paradisaque. De plus, nous allons plonger tous les jours et les fonds sont magnifiques, exactement ce que nous recherchions.
