We started the eventful day off bright and early at 7:00 AM. We headed to the kitchen to eat our breakfast, gallo pinto. It was a delicious mixture of beans, rice, and eggs with a slice of bread on the side. After we washed our dishes, we grabbed our Bibles and water bottles and lathered on some bug spray. ... when we were doing some tasks on the floor at 30 metres I kept bumping into Laura and falling forward until Martin moved my weights around to my back, I didn't even think of that. But I guess that's how you learn by your (in my case many) mistakes. ... But the kids seemed to have a grand time. I distributed the leftover programs to the children in the play.

No Fiesta for us esta noche. Maybe tomorrow, after the Tope, after Mass, if there's a shuttle bus out to the fiesta grounds. Tomorrow is the bull riding competition.

We trudged home in this terrible heat! Al made dinner. Then he made me go to bed, to avoid complete heat exhaustion. I didn't object.
