... I got a dirty look and she said she I could go alone and gave me directions. I went outside and introduced myself to the daughter (24) and her boyfriend (29). I tried to make conversation about our dogs but didn't get much of a response. I let them know i was going to go for a walk and they just said "bye". So I left and while I was there I saw about 7 other girls from my group with their host families, showing ...

We woke up yesterday morning at 4:00 to get ready and catch an early flight. Kaitlyn showed up around 5:00 and took over Parker duties. Finally you are deeper in the forest and reach the highest point,
where we were lucky to get a clear view of Volcan Arenal as the clouds
parted for a few seconds.
We then climbed down a steep muddy trail to Lago Cerro Chato. A
lake in the crater of a volcano. The water was a gorgeous green and all
you could see around you was a deep jungle forest.

... were so cute! But seriously, don't touch them they're electric and apparently they can deliver a nasty shock! Maarten and Alan it turned out had not made it back to the start point so it was all to play for in the navigation stakes. I knew I had navigated my directions perfectly and also knew that we were not back at the start point. Something was wrong! Basically they hadn't done the angles on the directions right as we both navigated to the same spot. So ...
