Lithuania
Our first impressions of Lithuania were the markedly improved main roads and improving weather. This may seem an odd thing to say, but we had been driving 4 hours in heavy rain from Karli, NE Latvia, often aquaplaning due to channels in the road full of water. A night in jail
... finally after 30 minutes, the police came and threatened to taze me and I put up a fight, but in the end, I surrendedered and went to jail. A tourists delight
We left Riva to head for Kaunas, with its magnificent castle, Town Hall and hot air ballooning in abundance.
No screens due to a strained "V" finger from previous flights so suffice it to say we are in Kaunas, Lithuania.
