... we all toured Petra on our own, going into many, many grave/temple caves that are carved out of the rose-colored sandstone. We stayed for about an hour, walked back through the siq (canyon), then boarded our bus and arrived back in Jerusalem at 7:30 p.m., just in time for dinner, a shower and a very welcome bed.
