      ... we all toured Petra on our own, going into many, many grave/temple caves that are carved out of the rose-colored sandstone. We stayed for about an hour, walked back through the siq (canyon), then boarded our bus and arrived back in Jerusalem at 7:30 p.m., just in time for dinner, a shower and a very welcome bed.



      (Ben and I welcomed our weary pilgrims with hugs all around)...photos to come when I can sit down with Sue and download her ...

      ... of yelling, they got the point and started getting us out. Holding back all the others, we and only we were let in. When we came down after rushing down the stairs. We noticed that the crew were in no hurry to unload. They had a long ceremony changing the crew to the next one and exchanging plesantries before unloading the ferry. By the time we touched Jordan soil, we had spent more than 13 hours to traverse a distance which only takes 3 hours by boat.

      ... 8221; (straw cabins with either dirt or cement floors equipped with rugs and a mattress), a restaurant, one castle-like structure that is the shared toilets and showers, and very cool shaded lounging areas near the water edge.
