Here we go, short and sweet...in Gero aside from tending to the cattle and enjoying the antics of all the animals we spent quite a bit of time working on some construction. Using earth bag building techniques and under the strict observations of our hosts' teacher, we added on a few layers of the soon to be theater space for our host who was a professional puppeteer before taking on a farming career. ... the latter).

After a long day of pruning tea trees and getting hot and sweaty on a typical humid Shizuoka afternoon (the temperature was around 26 Celsius and for those Americans unversed in non Fahrenheit temperatures as we are that's around 78 degrees) we cleaned up and headed out to one of the nearby urban centers for a fast food experience. We had just picked Madoka up at the train station on her way back from visiting her elderly diabetic ...
