... that sphere I felt like I had waded into a bowl of jello. It was a wonderful, sleepy existence, but my work productivity suffered severely. The beginning of the route looked promising, with exotic forests carpeted over jagged mountains, but soon that flattened out and it was the usual dirt and uninteresting Thai landscape, strewn with ramshackle villages and towns. As I ...

Nakhom Si Tharammat- The real Thailand

After one boat ride, one van ride  and one taxi ride, we arrived in Nakhom Si Tharammat. We needed to get to my friend Kat's house, but we had no idea how to get there. The first person we approached was working in a restaurant. I pointed at my phone whilst saying 'wifi?' She laughed, shook her head and said something in Thai. Kat had warned us that nobody in Nakhom spoke English. We stumbled across a tourist information office. As we ...

... anything, this trip down south has made me ashamed. Shameful of my arrogance, of my comfortable lifestyle, of my need for adequate toilet paper. An enormous question cloud seems to follow me around like Pig Pen's dusty trail. Despite all my deep ruminations, I see one thing clear as it ever was. It's grace. I've never felt so much grace before. As Yoda might put it, "Thankful, I am. Content, I must be. But confused, I remain."

First, I am too old to be getting drunk that i dont remember, and second, if it was free, then I could understand but when I spend my money on something, I have a right to be picky.
We went searching for a hotel that was more expensive but up to my standards. and of course its full moon weekend and everything is booked...
On our way back to dinner, we ...
