    ... piano piano ...Pauli Pauli ...never a worry !! Anyway someone eventually shows up ...well we still wait for another half hour ...oh well So off to the island ....     ... to being just 100 in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Jonny had chicken noodles and I had a pizza, and the overall bill came to 1015 for 2 main courses, and 4 drinks. There was a man kicking off behind us over something, he did sound happy! We enjoyed our meal there, mainly because of the atmosphere - they had a live band playing some good English songs. After our meal we walked down the strip and were amazed with how busy it was! We did not expect it to be so busy. ...

    ... everything a pub should be complete with beams, wooden furniture and a cracking Sunday roast!!! Biryani on Thalang Street during the night market: unfortunately there aren't any bars along the street, but on a Sunday night a pop-up appears by the side of the road and they add tables and chairs dependent on the number of customers. Perfect for a beer and a table from which to sample some of the edible delights that form the bulk of the night market. We'd spotted a cracking ...

    ... Travel Agent it was much cheaper and today we try our luck at the pier. There are many boat drivers so that we are in a good position and we go finally for one sixth of the original price to the island. Since we started with the swimming dresses, we swim once around the famous rock, which is a great experience. A visit to a cave and a bizarre sculpture park, rounds up the day's program.

    ... the water was deep. We swam and suntanned until the sun took over the beach and so we walked back. This time when we got to the road we were picked up right away. The people here are very friendly! I really appreciated the ride as it was practically the heat of the day. When we got back we just relaxed in the hammock until this really obnoxious old American guy came with his "bodyguard and transvestite". I didn't quite know how to respond to a comment like that. ...
