    ... not sure whether someone from the ship communicated with the men? They pulled up under engine power - but when trying to pull away - with their pig and watermelons still onboard - they couldn't get their engine started -- so they used a broken oar & piece of old lumber to paddle away. I have photos and video of this very curious last encounter with the gentle earnest people of Burma and will try to attach one. Cheers. A & ...

    ... piano piano ...Pauli Pauli ...never a worry !! Anyway someone eventually shows up ...well we still wait for another half hour ...oh well So off to the island .... Well was looking at one boat and went "nice" but no that wasn't the one Anyway the boys threw on the luggage and .... everyone on and off we went ...full speed across crazy ocean ...all good I kinda liked it ...hanging out the back and taking in the scenery ...few happy snaps hour later we are at ...

    ... to being just 100 in Bangkok and Chiang Mai. Jonny had chicken noodles and I had a pizza, and the overall bill came to 1015 for 2 main courses, and 4 drinks. There was a man kicking off behind us over something, he did sound happy! We enjoyed our meal there, mainly because of the atmosphere - they had a live band playing some good English songs. After our meal we walked down the strip and were amazed with how busy it was! We did not expect it to be so busy. ...

    ... local neighborhoods and more markets full of fruits I've never even seen. Fuzzy, spiked and brightly colored in hot pink, lime green, maroon and purple. Mangosteens, dragon fruit, lychee, durian, jack fruit and mangos of different sweetness and sour. After Bangkok we head south to Phuket- pronounced poo-ket. :) it's an over sized island with many beaches- some over crowded with umbrellas but the water is turquoise and the sand is like walking ...
