    ... piano piano ...Pauli Pauli ...never a worry !! Anyway someone eventually shows up ...well we still wait for another half hour ...oh well So off to the island .... Well was looking at one boat and went "nice" but no that wasn't the one Anyway the boys threw on the luggage and .... everyone on and off we went ...full speed across crazy ocean ...all good I kinda liked it ...hanging out the back and taking in the scenery ...few happy snaps ...an hour later we are at ...

    ... beach for 100 baht - 1 pound each, we were too hot to walk and it was further than five minutes. The beach was beautiful! Clear blue water, and it was so quiet there. We found a spot, had a one hour sunbathe and dip in the sea - which was amazing! It was so clear, so shallow, and so warm. Then we had some lunch on the beach - I had Paenang chicken curry and rice which was nice, tasted like a korma, and Jonny had pork with spices and rice which he liked. It came ...

    ... so going into the water was enjoyable. We were both craving some simple comfort food for dinner so we stopped at the local Mexican restaurant for Nachos which were surprisingly good and definitely hit the spot.

    We felt the least safe here in Patong. Not for fear of crime but for fear of our lives. If anything, there are even more scooters on the road and here they are more likely to be driven by tourists drunken ...

    Lots more cars, trucks, boats and ferries.

    ... originally. Phi Phi is darling- has a lot of character. There are no cars or motorbikes allowed, only walking and 2 wheel bikes. the roads are all "block" and are more walk ways. Luggage and supplies get carried around in big wheelbarrow like contraptions. You really have to get out of the way when they come through. We found a nice little place with balcony and wifi for 500 bt a night.

    Made the 2 hour journey from Krabi to Phuket. Met a funny old guy on the shuttle that was from SF, and is now living in Chiang Mai. Funny how you travel across the world and always end up meeting people from home.
    Staying in one of the northern Phuket beaches, trying to avoid the madness of Phuket town, while still checking this place out. And I had heard there can be waves on this side of the island. ...
