Saturday August 9th we relaxed and wrote our previous blog. In the evening we went back to our favorite seafood market and stocked up on crab cakes and shrimp for that evening's ...

Today was unofficially (or officially, I suppose) Day 2 of Bike & Build. Our first ride day is tomorrow, so I think I'm going to go ahead and really count that as Day 1. So far things are going pretty well though. We woke up at 7:00am, a luxury on this trip. Tomorrow, to kick off this official journey, wake up time is 5:15am. Anyway, back to today. We woke up at 7, I was probably up around 6 though. ...

Ok, back up the road to try Kitty Hawk – 7 miles away. Find office closed but a wonderfully helpful resident calls the owner for us. Full and not a hope, oooh heck. Same ...

          Hi Everyone,

We left Tennessee around 8:30 a.m. and said goodbye to our cabin home and we were off to do the katie part of the trip: beach and relaxation time at Nags Head, NC!! It takes about 8-9 hours to get to Nags Head from where we were, but Kevin was confident that we would get there by 4:30 p.m. I tried to nap a few times, but Kevin had to wake me up for a Dunkin Donuts stop. There aren't many dunkin donuts around here, so when we see one it is a big ...

          The hotel dilemma

A travel blog entry by carpefeline on Sep 20, 2010

... Washington D.C. area is price prohibited. We could afford it but why would we want to pay $400 for the same room we can get 15 miles out of town for $100. At first I had reservations for a place that was not anywhere close to a metro line so we had to change that. Then I had a place for our original dates and now we were changing our dates so there was another change. Then we realized that we were still 30 miles ...
