Sunday was Sakae. I've been trying to go here for a while. It is a quick 3 or 4 subway stops away. There is a maze of sub-terrestrial shoppes and haberdashers. There's also no lack of lovely Japanese ladies looking like they're 20 something, though actually being 40 something, selling ruffled lingerie that appears from the roaring 20's. ... that, we hiked through town again and finally made our way to the castle. Very worth the long walk. Inuyama castle is 1 of only 4 national treasure castles in Japan. Once you take your shoes off, you can ascent the sets of narrow, steep, and slick steps to the top of the castle. Visitors are greeted by sharp crisp winds and spectacular views at the top.

... work emails to go for a walk. I was given very vague directions to a grocery store. Sure enough I didn't find it. Instead, I found a *****in shrine and a night club called Ryu.

So tonight was a dinner at McDonalds chased with green tea ice cream and czech biiru (otaru bakusyu).

First day of work

Found my way back to work. Remembered my way around the plant and ate a terrific lunch at the cafeteria. Dinner though. That was ichiban mega tasty. Octopus in wasabi sauce, roasted squid, tuna sashimi, pizza, and much much more. Chased it all down with 1L of beer and a pink/purple glass of kyoho like the princess I am.
