Before long we were on the train, unsure but determined to get off at the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (KLCC) station - try this when you don't even know the name of your current station. ... to spend a night or two. We saw Spectacled Langur monkeys in the trees along the roadside. They were quite shy and would quickly disappear as soon as the car stopped. They are great jumpers and would jump many meters to get out of sight. I managed to get a couple of OK shots. Will try to get more in the days to come. Most of the women on the beach are clad in the hijab, walking hand in hand with their husbands who wear only board shorts and swim on their own. They gather in groups, take photos of each other and shop for sunglasses. We see one man receive a massage whilst his wife looks on, taking discrete bites of an ice cream behind her face veil. It’s incongruous, bizarre, and we wonder if we belong here.

... of the others; sand, and sea. It was fun, sea was warm, sand was soft, but having experienced some AMAZING beaches on Koh Chang and Koh Samet, we have been a little spoilt and were not wowed by this one.




Boat trip under our belt, we headed for some chinese food, and a relaxing stroll along the beach, followed by sit on the balcony; and a beer,... ahhhhhh.


The next few days ensued without us leaving ...

... boats and off for a little journey to see a fish farm. This little farm was really set up for tourists but there are farms that raise fish for the restaurant industry. Some interesting fish were there including some rays. Our last ride in the boats took us further to see the mangroves lining the river. The mangrove forest is salt water and is important for fish spawning and these forests saved this part of Malaysia during the big tsunami a few years ago ...
