... something I have never seen before, unorganised mass synchronised dancing in a public space, it was really amazing how everyone seemed to know all the moves for the songs. Apparently after heading back to the guesthouse, I asked one of the staff and he said that it was exercise that everyone does in the square, several times a week to keep fit. That was one of the coolest and unique experiences I have encountered whilst travelling.
Phnom Penh, Cambodia leehorscraft... drivers hassling me for a fare, not to mention the other 10 or so waiting outside. It was tipping down with rain so I just went with the one who's Tuk-Tuk was nearest and asked him to take me to the Lake area where most of the backpackers head (according to Lonely Planet). When I got there I checked a couple of places but wasn't too impressed. The area looked a bit too dodgy to be of a night time and the rooms in the Guest Houses were worse than the place I stayed in ...

Phnom Penh, Cambodia allieadventures... to stay by the lake in the backpacker area and get a room for 5USD a night between us with a nice' view of the lake. 'Nice' because a local developer has decided to fill in the lake - some of the guesthouse owners reckon they have maybe half a year before goverment troops force them out so he can build condos...

So we head out, enjoy a few beers, meet a few travellers and then head back and hang our mosquito nets and off to bed..
My driver dropped me off at a roadside eatery, aka street cafe, which really is your bread and butter food whilst in Asia. My choices were duck stew, which was literally the whole duck, chopped up, floating around in a ...
Phnom Penh, Cambodia pricklyleaf... people chatting outside saying "I just don't understand why?"
We never understand why do we? Yet these things happen over and over again in all parts of the world.
I also chatted with this guy there for a bit, he seemed normal until he mentioned that before he came here he did the tourist "shoot for fun" thing. He paid $15 to shoot a chicken with an AK47.
Apparently, you can also blow up a cow with a bazooka for $100. Doesn't that sound like fun!?<br ...
