And we provided cookies and pretzels too. The guys showed their appreciation by grunting and banging their chests with their fists.
Thanks guys!
Well, I'm off to Sweden! Our final country (with the exception of a little joyride to Finland in 2 weeks!)

Lots of memories to be made :)
... some fellow Uppies and we were able to learn a lot about the acclaimed Danish author and poet, Hans Christian Anderson.
Have you heard of "The Little Mermaid"? How about "Thumbelina"? "The Little Match Girl"? What about "The Ugly Duckling"?
Yes! All works of H.C. Anderson.
We went around Odense and saw the many statues that are dedicated to this great author and were even fortunate to visit his childhood home!
We also window shopped, ate ...
... our travel day to Odense, Denmark. And us girls, we were all about MAD.
No, we weren't emotionally mad. And some of us might be a little mentally mad after traveling with the same people for almost 6 months (just kidding!). No, we were all about MAD.
Male Appreciation Day!
Yes, that's right! Today was Male Appreciation Day, a day in which we show our Cast B 2009 guys how much we love them!

Only 30 minute trip from Copenhagen. Nice little place to spend the night. Did alot more than I expected. Saw the museum on H.C Anderson, which had his original manuscripts. A very interesting man and very ugly- that is what inspired him to write the Ugly Duckling. Saw Sankt Knuds Kirke which is a ...

Anna’s candle making factory was next where the boys were able to make some candles that they were so excited to be able to take home with them. We also enjoyed a great home cooked meal together. It was really nice that the girls were the same age as our boys ...

Bruce removed the skin off the sausages we had for lunch when the Christiansen's Grandfather and Uncle joined us for lunch after they were doing some yard work. They never said anything but we later learned that you were suppose to leave the skin on. We're sure we're doing lots of other things too when we are out in public as we often get some nice smiles from the locals! Off to Copenhagen tomorrow for more adventures in this wonderful country!

The original plan was to drive all the way to Copenhagen and stay on a campsite there. But since it rained and rained and rained, we decided to stop earlier and have a good rest before heading to Copenhagen and meeting up with Laurents & Iris at the airport there. We were lucky and found a really nice campsite right at the beach with a view of the Storebaelt Bridge :-)

Odense, Denmark the_wayfarer... where we got to feed ducks like we were 5 year olds and were told a fairy tale by our guide who spoke horrible English. Oh, and apparently swans can hiss. That night, after the boredom of the day, we decided to go out. That's when we realized how true Odense's nickname was. "The Little Copenhagen" It was Copenhagen, down to the exact same bars...only smaller and less exciting. We did manage to ...
