... to say that the Brazillians have an amazing work ethic, the amount of rubble they moved each day by hand was admirable. I was genuinely willing them to slack off and go to the pub.
The weather in Belo was crazy, we arrived in winter and were surprised by just how warm it was, then half way through our first week the temperature plummeted, we had torrential rain and the cats no longer wanted to go out at night to the cat disco and we woke up each ...
... the rocks and we explored only half of what was there due to time !We sampled some local Brazilian buffet style food for €6 each, we had a main meal and much to Niamh's delight dessert too !!
Then went to "Top of the World" to watch the sunset and people para-gliding off the highest point in Belo Horizonte. We went out for drinks that evening, which was surprisingly chilly !!
I went to the gym this morning and then rushed home quickly to get changed to go to work. My first class for the day was at BK21, followed by a class in the office which went by pretty quickly.
I had a bit of a tough time trying to cash my pay check today. I had to go to one specific bank branch, which luckily happed to be close to work. It turns out that I arrived to late and that banks in Brazil at 4pm! What the hell Brazil! I'll try again tomorrow I guess...
... it when my portuguese is a little better. I could be potentially endangeing people, which isn't cool. It was however, nice to know the option is there.
When the gym closed we all went to get ice cream. I overloaded a little to much I think and my amount of icecream cost about twice as much as everyone elses. Oh well, I deserved it.
Today I went to a party in Praca de Liberdade called trance, with all of the same people from last night. It was basically a huge outdoor party with drinking and dancing, mixed in between carnival games and a book fair. Kinda random. Very hipster.
Anyway there was about 2000 people here and I will reinforce again, that Brazilians know how to party, and it wouldn't be a party without beer. We all started drinking again, pretty early in ...
