    Drove from Trangsviken to Ostersund. Went to Jamtli Historieland open air museum. Dodged the rain to see goat and cow cheese and milk prepared, bought fresh flat bread (not as good as yesterday's) and heard a lot of the local history from "actors" in authentic dress. Finally decided to go inside when it hailed!!

    So much fitted into one day, thanks to our great hosts. First went to see Stone Age rock carvings in the river rocks at Glosa. Then to a farm where the ladies were making traditional flat bread - delicious. Stopped at a lookout to admire Swedish mountain cows - looked like reverse Fresians, white and black, not black and white!

    Left Orsa and set off up north. Travelled across country, dodging intermittent torrential rain, lunch at Svenstavik. Arrived at the site of a cave, after a 200 metre steep uphill climb. The brave of the group descended into the Hoverbergsgrotan cave, lit up with coloured lights. Around the hill then on to the lookout ...

    ... I have worked out sleeping upright is good, thus I put all the pillows in the corner and slept some of the night leaning into the corner.

    Anna had planned for us to spend the day at the pool and sauna – just perfect.     So I had some period mishaps on the way to Ostersund on two out of three pants. I dont care if you think that.s gross. it.s what happened suck it up.

    Klara found a place that would wash my clothes by the kilogram. So that.s what I did. The only catch was it wouldn.t be done until tomorrow. I took my clothes down there but Petter apparently couldnt find an extra key so we had to leave for the whole day. ...
