... to me having to stop and investigate each tree we passed. The day consisted of 5 hours peddle time but we must have spent 2 hours pulling over and doing u-turns to check out our different fruit selections. We joked at the idea of being able to live off what was in season on the trees. We picked a bag full of figs and tucked them away for ...

... of 14 euro a day plus I should also upgrade my car to a diesel car for only 5 euro extra a day. Since diesel is about 20 cents cheaper per liter in Spain and if I drive more then 300 km a day, it would be worth it (also it is a better car).

I've end up getting a Peugeot 208, it is still a pretty weak car (engine). The counter person gave me a ticket for exiting the parking lot, he told me if I use this I would not have to pay when exiting the parking lot. The car ...

As I wrote on an earlier blog, by using this app whatever maps will be needed can be downloaded either before your trip or using wifi along the way so that you don't have to use precious data. We were heading to Monserrat which was about 40 minutes from Barcelona. It's an awesome view as you approach Montserrat - a gorgeous ...

          ... have very cold beer!

Maybe it is a trip to do in winter.
There was a lot of tunnels, understandably , so each time we came out of a tunnel we looked forward to what the scenery presented. The scenery was wonderful-with mountains, cuttings, lakes and villages. We did spot the dam built for the hydro-electricity, and noticed the thriving crops and newly cut fields of wheat or barley.
We had five hours to fill at La ...

... another 12 hours or so but as I've got another hard day ahead I'd better get packing. Today's highest peak is twice the size of yesterday's, the Coll de Canto at 1725m, but at least I get to ride off it into Sort. Yesterday's climbing started after 2 miles and just kept going and going. A steep 3 miler out of Barcelona with a hearse waiting for me on it, a fitting portent for the day ahead. A nice 5 mile descent into the first big ...
