... had a great Birthday dinner. We followed up by going to Hayward's Ice Cream stand to get "kiddy cups" (these are only 2 gigantic scoops) -- Jenny got moose tracks with peanut butter cups on top (this was the closest she got to a moose in New Hampshire).

We came back to Paul's parent's house and watched the OSU v. Arizona football game on TV. Both the Beavers and the Red Sox lost today, so that was a bummer. Other than that, it was an outstanding day.
Milford, New Hampshire, United States jennyandpaul2August 28th Friday- Up fairly early- I am still not getting the sleep I need. We talked and reminisced about the time I have spent here at Beckys and then I was packed up and off. I took stuff out and closed the door, Becky opened it to check something and Boston streaked by her and out the door so we had to do a cat rescue before I left. First stop was to get a tired aired up-It was looking squishy and is now better. Nuvi said I would be there by 6:30, but with one nap stop ...
Amherst, New Hampshire, United States teamccSo we managed to find our way home after an incredible summer. In just over 5 weeks we were in 29 States, drove 12,700 miles, visited 5 World Heritage Sites, many wonderful state and national parks, saw great cities, awesome beaches and fantastic friends and family. This was a time I will cherish forever.

Thanks to all who have followed my blog and taken this journey with us.

ox
Lisa
Bow, New Hampshire, United States lgthib... although 85 miles was too short! The climbing went well and compared to the beginning of the trip it was quite satisfying to be able to conquer all the hills without coming close to having to walk. Tonight will be the last dinner with all of us together, and a good time to reflect on what this was all about. I started this as a gesture relating to the untimely death of my brother, but it has been made clear to me that I was angry that ...
Manchester, New Hampshire, United States bot989... that I had planned for us. What had I done? Fifty days of driving and camping across the US. But as nervous as I was, I was also excited about the adventures that Russell and I would get ourselves into....so, one last look back and Niagara Falls, Ontario, here we come!

Concord, New Hampshire, United States kdnault... We like looking at the babies, not having them to keep.

Last weekend, we hung out with Joel (our 4.5 month old nephew) and Henri (5 week old son of our best man-equivalent). This weekend was 2 week old Braden. Maybe next weekend we'll sit around and look at ultrasound pictures with someone.

So we stayed the night with the Connollys in Chichester, just outside Concord, NH. The town is ...
Chichester, New Hampshire, United States dejm3Monday in New Hampshire, we had a leisurely morning before going to the Greenfield State Park. We were the only people in the park. We followed a trail that led us around Hog Pond. We had to keep moving because of the bugs but it was achingly beautiful. Then we headed to Bennington and Shaw's grocery for lobster. We picked out two lively looking fellows and the butcher cooked them on the spot. I retreated to the produce section in order not to watch their ...
Francestown, New Hampshire, United States ruthperelstein... Producers, laughing our selves silly. The morning sky was clear but very windy. We headed out for a walk and decided we could make it to the top of ******ed Mountain, elevation 2,055. We walked to the top and were very proud of ourselves. We didn't start at zero but about a quarter of the way up but proud none-the-less. Hopping in the car we drove all around the area, wondering ...
Francestown, New Hampshire, United States ruthperelstein... changing down gear to slow down. A dark, wet night on the initially busy route 93 from Boston to Manchester is not the best place to try and remember the technique, but like riding a bike it slowly came back. There was a little detour thro' a very large diner car park after I kept to the right hand lane once to often and we found ourselves off the highway and ...
Manchester, New Hampshire, United States robinmichel... spend some one on one time with a local, self proclaimed red neck named Jeremiah. He was a riot only because along with being the most Republican, pro-Bush, ask-no-questions kinda guy that I've ever had to spend a prolonged amount of time with, he was also the most well mannered dude as well. Guess you get the whole package on that one =P. It was great though, I got to corner him a bunch of times as we discussed foreign policy, patriotism, etc-- all in good fun ...
