De grote dag is begonnen. Om 5 uur ging de wekker helaas, tja, we mogen dan wel een 'relaxte' lijnvlucht om 11 uur vanaf Schiphol hebben, maar als je 3 uur van te voren moet inchecken en ook nog met de trein naar Schiphol moet (weer 2 uur) dan zit er weinig op. Gelukkig was de buurvrouw ook optijd wakker want zij bracht ons naar het station in Eindhoven.

So Bec and I made it successfully to Rotterdam where Suus, my friend from Canada times, lives. We have been tasting dutch delicacies - dutch pankakes (Panenkoken), Sinterklass treats like peffernuiten (sorry about the spelling girls!) and of course Haggleslag - which is chocolate sprinkles but they put it on everything - including bread for breakfast. Went to rotterdam today,to see about busses to brussels and home, i decided its easier for me to fly. but dave got his bus to brussels sorted. went to the euro tower in rotterdam,and it was really really good,its a rotating tower, which you can see the whiole city and it gives you info on everything, thried to get some mushys or space cake but they're only available in amsterdam, headed back about 9, i went to the casino for a few hours,blew 20 quid, then came home to bed.

After taking a local train to Wroclaw we (me and HC member kasiamieleniak) jump into a bus to NL !!! Arrived on wednseday about noon in Rotterdam, visited a bit city and harbour, spend a relaxing evening by watching a football game live with our host and his friends in very cool flat (former squat). Next day we went by hh via Hague to Amsterdam...

... Coby and Jon came over with the kids, it was great to see them. So far we are settling in, and seeing the family. Friday we are still planning to leave for Italy. We are getting really excited about that, and trying to plan for it. Tonight we are going out with ancle Gerrit's nephews. I will write again in a couple days.
