... like a ski lift) up the hill to the Germania monument, built in 1871 for the reunification of Germany then walked the 5kms down the hill. Had a drink, then went shopping & back to the boat for lunch.
The next part of he Rhine is known for its castles, they were amazing, the cloud then started to move in so went inside for coffee & cake, like we needed more food.

Frankfurt has a lot of Ethopian residents. It is the first Germany city where we have seen them. It seems that every second person is Ethopian. I haven't been able to ascertain why this is the case.
Tonight was the first time that we didn't eat European food for dinner since we have been in Europe. We opted for some Thai food instead at a small Thai restaurant near our hotel. It was a good choice.

What can I say. One little blue pill and I slept the time away - after "dinner" of course. We were lucky enough to have seats in the centre front row of cattle class - seats I never ask for because I know if any babies come along you get bumped, so we had oodles of space.
I am in a dilemma about WiFi while in Frankfurt. In theory you need to be a resident, but in practice I think you can work around it, so I am back to considering Vodafone's data angel. ...
