      ... happy about that! It was a little disconcerting when they turned the lights off after a few hours into the trip. It was only mid-afternoon or thereabouts when we left Frankfurt but I guess they were adjusting us to the time zone we were flying to.

      As usual, towards the end of the flight my throat, nose and face felt like all the moisture had been sucked out of it. Long flights are not particularly fun. We landed safe and sound in Ho Chi Minh City Sunday morning.

      Our visit included much time in discussion, riding the bikes along the canal, fine dining and great beer. We had a great visit with our friends Horst and Astrid (and pets) as well.
