This is an ideal hotel for business or a city break. The shops are just minutes away by foot and the traditional german restaurants in the square are nearby too.
room was quiet comfortable and clean - got the best nights sleep ever!
Reception and waiting staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast is great with loads of choice and a spacious room.
Excellent hotel all around
This is a wonderful hotel in a perfect location. The front desk staff were efficient and pleasant and the lobby area modern and comfortable.
The rooms were quite attractive with high quality finishings and very solid wood doors. Beds were very comfortable with feather/down duvets and pillows. I particularly appreciated a second door that separated the bathroom/entry area from the sleeping area. This greatly reduces any noise you might hear from the hallway. As a result, the rooms are exceptionally quiet at night -- wonderful! Two things that are missing from the rooms are an alarm clock and coffee maker.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Zeil shopping street and there are many very good restaurants in the area (Japanese, Thai, Italian traditional, etc).
We booked three nights via the NH Hotel website at a rate of 71 euro per night which we considered to be an excellent deal. Breakfast was not included at this price. We would recommend going to the top floor of the Karstadt department store for their breakfast or lunch buffet. It is a nice buffet style restaurant!
Couldn't fault this hotel for the price. Excellent location, amenities and service.
Spent 2 nights in the NH City hotel in Frankfurt over New Year 2005, and found it to be an excellent hotel. We got a ridiculously-low rate on Expedia (something like £35 per night for the room) and were very impressed. The hotel is a 2 or 3 minute walk from the Konstablawache S-bahn & U-Bahn stop and the main shopping street (Zeil). It is very modern and clean, and all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are reasonable sized and include satellite TV, minibar, desk area with internet connection - and all the standard stuff expected from a business hotel.
I am a member of Lufthansa's air miles scheme, and with that I got extended check-out, so it could be worth enrolling in the scheme for free if this could be of use.
All in all we were very impressed, and would not have been disappointed if we had paid a lot more for the hotel. I'll definately consider NH hotels in other cities, and would stay at the NH City Frankfurt again.
Fab hotel...great value
Just returned from a lovely shopping weekend in Frankfurt and had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. It was fabulous value. There is not one thing I can find fault with this hotel. It was ideal for shopping, it being only a short walk from the main shopping area. It was also spotless clean. The staff were both friendly and helpful. We used the sauna and steam room after a serious day shopping and it was glorious!
Excellent Hotel...Great Location
Stayed at the NH Frankfurt City Hotel Sept. 30 -Oct. 3 2005 and really enjoyed our stay. We are Americans living and working in Saudi Arabia. Frankfurt is a stop over point for us. So, we decided to spend some time there and were really glad we did. Hotel is 2 blocks from the nearest train/subway stop. The rooms were very nice and the beds were wonderful w/down pillows and comforter. The bathroom was big and the shower was hot with great water pressure. Hotel was quiet as a mouse every night. We slept like babies. Breakfast buffet had much variety (scrambled eggs, bacon, crepes, cereals, etc.) Hotel staff very polite and helpful.
Mass transit very easy to use (Even for Americans who aren't from New York!) This train/Subway point is also the beginning of the pedestrian streets that take you through Frankfurt's shopping district on foot. Lots of street vendors serving every king of food. Enjoyed delicious pork, suasages, sauerkrawt, potatoes, etc. Wonderful!! The Dom Romer is a 15 min walk or a 2 min train ride from hotel. The weather was cool and only one day we had rain. But rain doesn't stop anyone in Frankfurt! We will definetly stay at the NH again soon!
Loved this hotel
This hotel was perfect and in a perfect location. It is within walking distance of the shopping district. We stayed over one night and wished we would have stayed longer. It was in a perfect location and the parking garage across the street was inexpensive for one over night on the week-end. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was worth the price. The room and bathroon were large enough for 2 people. The pillows were firm and the bed had feather covers rather than a blanket. This hotel is excellent and would recommend it to anyone staying in Frankfurt.
This hotel is convient, spotless, great "Zen" like decor, Good staff and excellent food. We were booked in to this hotel by Granc Circle tours and it was terrific.
My daughters and I booked a weekend in NH Frankfurt hotel for a serious Christmas shopping expedition direct from IRELAND. We arrived very early at the hotel, and were welcomed warmly, our luggage was stored until we returned from our initial shopping. The hotel is only "a stones throw" from the main shopping area.
The room was excellent. we were three adults so it was important that our room be spacious and it was. The breakfast was a bit expensive @ 16 euros per person. The room rate was very good value. It was very very clean and hygenic and was very comfortable. The staff were excellent. In fact we are returning next year again to repeat the whole experience.

... homemade beer which they was selling to us in the bar .
I acedently ordered the table the wrong drinks .... we ended up with a METRE or largr on the table in stead on a litre .
next I then ordered a 5 litre TOWER of beer which was delivered to the table and stood approx. ,, 5 foot above the table ..
what an amzing night .
... bad. I am REALLY stiff from all that sitting though, and sitting seems to be the plan from now until we arrive in Lyon. I am going to love finally getting out, breathing some fresh air, and walking around the city. I was planning to get Euro at an ATM and maybe get some food, but the machine ate someone's card so I got paranoid and changed my mind. I'guess I'll just read and talk to my classmates until it's time to get on our connecting flight. I'll report back when I am in Lyon, ...
... fun being silly and snapping shots with virtually no people around!! And we totally killed it with our timing and were in and out in a little over an hour! We were pretty proud of our navigation skills. The customs/police even laughed at us when we came back as they were incredulous that we'd gone and come back already. Definitely their amusement for the day. Next up? Another 8 hour flight and then we are in ...
... that lay ahead. Now here we were, the same people back in the same place, but not the same at all as we now were full of the memories and the satisfaction of having cycled 1259 km. The train station and our hotel across the road all looked the same, but we felt very different!
I'm afraid we can't really recommend the few hundred kilometers of the Rhine Cycle Route that we did from Strausbourg to Speyer, part of ...
... airbus this size which provides seating for 525 people not counting the staff, it was done quite efficiently and effectively. Again, I was impressed. If you’re counting how many times so far I’ve said “I’m impressed”, well this is the second time! Hehehe!
Michel and I flew economy! Our seats were not on the top ...
