Getting in touch with my German ancestry
... we all gathered for a buffet in the hotel banquet room. I took advantage of my newly-found "Germanness" with good-size fillings of spatzle and saucy mains. After eating, sheets with lyrics were passed around, and we all sang a song of thanks from the 1960s entitled Danke für diesen guten Morgen.
