    ... just one, probably the most famous one, the Museo del Prado. We wanted to take advantage of the museum's free admission between 6 and 8 p.m., so we still had several hours to explore Madrid before getting our cultural fix. We really just wandered, winding our way through neighborhoods for hours. The Beaux-Arts architecture along the broad leafy avenues is very grand, so we enjoyed that.     ... Monica's house which was gorgeous. They were putting up the Christmas tree and lights (they even had the same Santa climbing the ladder as mum). Despite only having just met me, they took me in as one of their own and encouraged me to help with the Christmas tree, followed by a hundred photos being taken of me. Monica's sister Maria was also there and she knew a fair bit of English. They'd even gone out to buy Christmas things that were in English for me! I was fully immersed in ...

    ... has a salary and doesn't work for tips as in the U.S. I called it a semi-early night because i have to pack my things for my trip to Barcelona tmw!! I am soooo excited about this!!! I wanted to get a full Europe experience so I am taking the euro rail to Barcelona. I will get there in 3 hours flat and get a chance to see the beautiful countryside of Europe. Adios por ahora!     ... there and back. Madrid Terminal 4 Airport is really new. Very nice, feeling nothing like the antiquated run down airports in Paris and Rome. Actually felt like an Asian airport. My parents are very quick at saying goodbye. I think our whole family has gotten use to living apart and goodbyes seem natural. No tearing moments, no standing around, waving at them until we can't see them anymore. Very different from Yang's family.
