... of cathedrals built across Europe for the last thousand years, on the other it is thoroughly post modern with some flourishes the devout find disturbing.
With a little poetic license, the wise men to Mary's left in the photo strangely resemble Darth Vader's Imperial Star Fleet fighters in Star Wars. The faceless, crucified Jesus does not wear a loin cloth.

... The overall ambience of Barcelona makes you feel relaxed; no wonder this is the land of siestas. My friends and I also visited Park Guell, which is one of the most beautiful parks I have ever been to. We were almost back at the hostel when we decided to go have a couple of beers and some tapas since we hadn't had tapas yet. They were all really good and completely different. We headed back to the hostel, quick shower and off to the bus station. The bus was on time and off we left for our overnight trip to ...

Today was raining so we decided on the Hop on Hop off bus for several hours. A great way to see Barcelona. Did not see one stand alone house... all apartment buildings, most of the older buildings only up to 6 floors while there are many new ones much bigger. Lovely tree lined streets and parks. The luxury boats in the marina are unbelievable. There are so ...
