... beautiful views of the city, and being a castle the grounds were giant, but the views were the best !!!! We descended down a whole lot of steps, but just once as that was where the changing of the guard was and the processions of long ago.
Found a Tesco grocery and department store right at a tram stop, so now we are like the locals, buying groceries and taking the subway home!!! So glad we have 3 weeks to figure out the city and learn to be like a ...

... are more impressive. Apparently the city was so impressed with their clock (built .. 1400's??) that they cut off the inventors tongue and lips, and seared his eyes - effective in preventing him building another clock elsewhere. He got his revenge though, by throwing himself from the tower into the clock workings. Dead perhaps, but his clock no longer worked 'cos no one could fix it in his absence for a hundred or so years. Satisfaction. ...

... We were in a beautiful park and somewhere during our time here it has changed to autumn and the oak trees were all turning a beautiful orange and red colour. ... our food stop we rode down some very narrow and steep paths which was slightly nerve racking. Everyone made it back without incident and we returned our new wheels. On the street outside we bumped into the American couple and the women proceeded to moan about how unsafe the tour was.
