When I left the NH at Lyon Aeroport and made my way to the RhoneExpress station, I was excited. This was my first time in months to see a European city. I bought my ticket to ride the RhoneExpress on the machine, and then I went down a staircase. The crimson red color of the modern, sleek tram made sure I was very excited to be going into a …
... We saw the "amphitheater des Trois Gaules", a Christian site that dates back to the 3rd century!! A few more Traboules then we passed through the very artsy district of "Le Village des Createurs"' then La Fresque des Lyonnais...the most famous painted wall in Lyon, it's more like an immense mural on 3 sides of a building....painted like the building would look. With balconies and people on the balconies...looks quite real. The people painted there were all famous individuals in ...
... to start traveling again when my visa is over. That's really what I want. And it's only 45 minutes from Lyon, so I can visit my new crush on the weekends too. So I think she understood also. Gosh teachers are nice people. In the afternoon I went back to my hostel and chatted to my mum for a bit. Then went out with the crew again. Leaving Versailles was quite depressing, I loved the whole idea of exploring the city. I felt as if there was so much more to see, I could have easily spent a week just in Versailles! Stayed overnight in preparation for trip to Rome. Hotel was a great location to enable relaxed access to flight - 5 minute walk to all check-ins. Hotel staff very competent and pleasant, providing all the assistance we required, including details of long-term and short term parking possibilities.
Dinner at night was enjoyable and of good quality for hotel food. Did not stay for breakfast. Lounge area was un-rushed, providing good location for evening drinks.
Room was of good size, clean and well presented.
